Devil All The Time Review – Spoilers!

As I am writing this I have just watched Devil All The Time for the first time. And let me tell you something it will not be the last time. All I can say is that if you haven’t watched this film you must. It is rated 18 but for violence and the odd notion to nudity.

I have included 3 actors who’s performances in which I enjoyed. I enjoyed all actors performances but these were the actors that stuck out to me.

Bill Skarsgard, all I can say is his performance was phenomenal. He was extremely believable and had so much dedication towards the role. He suited the role so well and I can’t imagine any other actor playing the role of Willard any better. He had such a commitment to the role which allowed it to be a hundred times more believable.

Sebastian Stan’s portrayal of Sherriff Lee was amazing. His connection to the role made me fall in love with Sebastian Stan just a tad more than before. The scene in which he was told of his sister had been killed. He had determination. I also can’t imagine Chris Evans in this role – Evans dropped out before filming started due to other filming commitments. Stan couldn’t have been cast better if I say so myself.

And lastly, Tom Holland as Arvin. What can I say! I was blown away. I may or may not have done a few high pitch screams and called him a fitty a couple of times. ahaha. Most of the time I was either lost in his eyes or telling him he needed to do something or to get out of something. I thoroughly enjoyed the scene in which he beat up the guys who were bullying Lenora. Tom has an aspect to his acting where he always has some sort of determination but in a way that he changes his determination for each of his characters.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the film. My overall favourite scene is the scene between Lee and Arvin. I was very nervous that Arvin was going to be killed but as soon as he stood up and was completely fine I was relieved. The tension throughout the scene sent shivers down my spine and gave me goose-bumps. If I had to rate this film out of 5 stars, I would give it a solid 4.5 stars. The reason being I was grossed out at many of the gory scenes including when Roy stabbed Helen in the neck. I was so grossed out even though I knew it was fake blood and not real life. I gagged.

So… to round off this review I am going to bless you with a quote in which Georgia H blessed me with today.
